Appreciation (Aprecio)

I can't tell you how many times I've had a rough day, felt weary and discouraged, then I received a card or email from someone telling me how much they appreciate me, that somehow God had blessed or encouraged them through my life. 

And those simple words of appreciation have reminded me that no matter how small my life feels at times, God is still using me. That imperfect and frail as I am, my life still counts. They've given me courage and motivation to keep pressing on.

I'm so blessed to have many wonderful people in my life! But sometimes I forget to tell them how much I appreciate them.

The Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians -

I thank my God every time I remember you (Phil. 1:3).

Paul thanked God for those precious people, but he also told them that he thanked God for them. 

I think words of appreciation have far more impact than we realize. 

Whether it's a simple thank you card, an email to praise others for a job well done, a text message affirming love for someone, or some other way - communicating our appreciation is one of the simplest and best ways we can bless others. 

And I think we are blessed in the process as well. 

It is more blessed to give than to receive. -Acts 20:35b

Who can you express appreciation to this week?

Aprecio

No podría decirte cuantas veces he tenido un día difícil o me he sentido débil y desanimada, pero he recibido una tarjeta o un correo electrónico de alguien diciéndome lo mucho que me aprecia, que de alguna manera Dios le ha bendecido o animado a través de mi vida.

Y esas sencillas palabras de aprecio me han recordado que sin importar lo pequeña que sienta mi vida a veces, Dios todavía me está usando. Que imperfecta y débil como soy, mi vida todavía cuenta. Me han dado ánimo y motivación para seguir adelante.

¡Soy tan bendecida por tener tanta gente maravillosa en mi vida! Pero muchas veces olvido decirles cuanto los aprecio.

El apóstol Pablo escribió en su carta a los Filipenses -
Doy gracias a mi Dios cada vez que me acuerdo de ustedes (Fi. 1:3).

Pablo agradeció a Dios por esa preciosa gente, pero también les contó que agradecía a Dios por ellos.

Creo que las palabras de aprecio tienen mucho más impacto del que notamos.

Sea una sencilla tarjeta de agradecimiento, un mensaje de correo electrónico felicitando a alguien por un trabajo bien hecho, un mensaje de texto reafirmando el amor por alguien - o de alguna otra manera, comunicar nuestro aprecio es una de las más sencillas y mejores formas con que podemos bendecir a otros.

Y creo que también somos bendecidos en el proceso.
