Thankful Always (Siempre Agradecida)

I love the Thanksgiving holiday. It's wonderful to have a special day set aside to focus on all that we have to be thankful for. 

At the moment I'm very thankful that I live in a place where "winter" is still mostly warm and sunny. =) I'm thankful for the ways God is providing for my family. I'm thankful for technology that enables me to keep in touch with close friends. I'm thankful for cheerful Christmas music and funny Christmas movies. =) I have a long list of things I'm thankful for these days. 

But I still remember what it's like to face the holidays in the midst of a fiery trial. Giving thanks isn't so easy then. 

Circumstances, weather and even people often change. But there are some things that never change. So I have many things I can always be thankful for, no matter what. 

Things I can always be thankful for - 

*I'm thankful that Jesus is my Savior and God Almighty is my heavenly Father. 

*I'm thankful for the Holy Spirit who lives in me and is always with me. 

*I'm thankful that I am not alone in this world. No matter where I am, there are always other believers who are part of my heavenly family.

*I'm thankful that my true home is in heaven and one day I'll move there to enjoy a perfect eternity with my God! 

*I'm thankful that nothing and no one can separate me from Jesus' love. 

*I'm thankful that truth never changes, regardless of how many lies Satan manufactures. Truth will endure! 

*I'm thankful that peace is possible in any situation through Jesus. 

*I'm thankful that God is who He says He is.

*I'm thankful that I am who God says I am.

*I'm thankful that God's grace, love and promises never fail! 

Praise God for all the precious gifts He gives us, both temporary and eternal ones! 

If you're going through a difficult season this Thanksgiving, I pray you'll be encouraged as you remember some of the things that never change - things you can always be thankful for. 

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. -Ephesians 5:19b-20

Siempre Agradecida

Me encanta el festivo del Día de Acción De Gracias. Es maravilloso tener un día especial separado para enfocarnos en todo aquello por lo que debemos estar agradecidos.

En el momento estoy muy agradecida porque vivo en un lugar donde el “invierno” todavía es más que todo caluroso y soleado. =) Estoy agradecida por las maneras como Dios está proveyendo para mi familia. Estoy agradecida por la tecnología que me permite mantenerme en contacto con amigos cercanos. Estoy agradecida por la alegre música de navidad y películas de navidad chistosas. =) Tengo una lista larga de cosas por las que estoy agradecida en estos días.

Pero todavía recuerdo como es enfrentar los días festivos en medio de una prueba de fuego. Dar gracias no es tan fácil entonces.

Las circunstancias, el clima y hasta la gente cambia con frecuencia. Pero hay algunas cosas que nunca cambian. Así que tengo mucho porqué estar agradecida, sin importar lo que suceda.

Cosas por las que siempre puedo estar agradecida –

*Estoy agradecida porque Jesús es mi Salvador y el Dios Todopoderoso es mi Padre celestial.

*Estoy agradecida por el Espíritu Santo quien vive en mí y siempre está conmigo.

*Estoy agradecida porque no estoy sola en este mundo. Sin importar donde estoy, siempre hay otros creyentes que son parte de mi familia celestial.

*Estoy agradecida porque mi verdadero hogar es en el cielo y ¡un día me mudaré allá para disfrutar de una eternidad perfecta con mi Dios!

*Estoy agradecida de que nada ni nadie me puede separar del amor de Jesús.

*Estoy agradecida porque la verdad nunca cambia, sin importar cuantas mentiras elabora Satanás. ¡La verdad perdurará!

*Estoy agradecida porque la paz es posible en cualquier situación a través de Jesús.

*Estoy agradecida porque Dios es quien dice que es.

*Estoy agradecida porque soy quien Dios dice que soy.

*Estoy agradecida porque ¡la gracia, el amor y las promesas de Dios nunca fallan!

Alabado sea el Señor por todos los regalos preciosos que Él nos da, ¡tanto los temporales como los eternos!

Si estás pasando por una etapa difícil este día de Acción de Gracias, oro que seas animado al recordar algunas de las cosas que nunca cambian – cosas por las que siempre puedes estar agradecido.

… cantando y alabando al Señor en vuestros corazones; dando siempre gracias por todo al Dios y Padre, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. –Ef. 5:19b-20
