Victorious (Victorioso)

Sometimes I forget what a nasty, rotten, stinker Satan is. Intellectually, I know he's evil. But sometimes his nastiness still takes me by surprise.

Right now there is a whole lot of evil going on in the world. I do believe we are in the last days of the last days. However, I believe there is also a LOT of good being done in these days! There are numerous ministries and organizations who are serving people, helping the poor, rescuing slaves, sharing the gospel of Jesus, translating the Bible, etc, etc. I love hearing about the many ways God is overcoming evil with good in this world!

I think for those of us who recognize the increase of evil, and who are working to make a difference, life can feel like a roller-coaster. We rejoice every time we hear of a new believer! We mourn every time we hear of another shooting. We pour ourselves into things of eternal value, then question whether or not it's doing any good.

I was reminded recently that when we are making a difference in God's power, that's when Satan often comes with a counter attack. I've sure seen that to be true in my life.

Just recently I sent an email update out to all my prayer supporters saying how excited I was because I felt like everything that was happening in my life was actually moving me forward. After years of up and down or standing still, this felt like such a huge answer to prayer for me! Well, the very next day things started crushing in on me again. I felt pushed back. I felt stuck. I felt discouraged. It took a few days before it dawned on me that this was a counter attack. And while my body went through allergic reaction after allergic reaction and I felt like screaming, inside my heart was yelling "I am an OVERCOMER!" This counter attack by the enemy only proves that I am indeed MOVING FORWARD!

We really are in a war. I don't like it. I wish it wasn't so. But as the world gets worse and worse, we have the opportunity to shine brighter and brighter with Jesus!

So I just want to encourage you today. If you're feeling the effects of an attack, REJOICE! That means you're on the right track! You're doing what God placed you here to do. You're making an eternal difference!

So reach out for whatever help and support you need to get through the attack. But KEEP GOING! Remember that you are an overcomer! You have been given victory in Jesus! You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves us!

Yes, Satan is an evil, rotten stinker, but Jesus is still our beautiful, powerful, gracious, victorious KING! Hallelujah!

A veces olvido lo desagradable, podrido, sucio que es Satanás. Intelectualmente sé que es malvado. Pero a veces su porquería me toma por sorpresa.

Ahora mismo hay mucha maldad en el mundo. Yo sí creo que estamos en los últimos días de los últimos días. Sin embargo, creo que ¡también hay MUCHA bondad llevándose a cabo en estos días! Hay numerosos ministerios y organizaciones que están sirviendo a la gente, ayudando a los pobres, rescatando esclavos, compartiendo el mensaje de Jesús, traduciendo la Biblia, etc., etc. ¡Me encanta escuchar sobre las muchas maneras en las que Dios está superando el mal con el bien en este mundo!

Pienso que aquellos de nosotros que reconocemos el aumento de la maldad y que estamos trabajando para hacer la diferencia, podemos sentir que la vida es como una montaña rusa. ¡Nos regocijamos cada vez que escuchamos de un nuevo creyente! Nos afligimos cada vez que escuchamos de otro asesinato. Nos vertemos en cosas de valor eterno, luego nos preguntamos si eso está haciendo algún bien o no.

Hace poco se me recordó que cuando estamos haciendo la diferencia en el poder de Dios, con mucha frecuencia, es en ese momento cuando Satanás viene con un contraataque. Es seguro que he visto que esto es cierto en mi vida.

Hace muy poco envié un mensaje de actualización a mis apoyadores en oración, hablando de lo animada que estaba porque sentía que todo lo que está pasando en mi vida estaba en realidad llevándome hacia adelante. Después de años de altibajos o quedarme quieta, Para mí ¡esto parecía una enorme respuesta a la oración! Bueno, justo al día siguiente las cosas comenzaron a derrumbarse sobre mí otra vez. Me sentí empujada hacia atrás. Atrapada. Desanimada. Me tomó algunos días darme cuenta que era un contraataque. Y mientras mi cuerpo iba a través de una reacción alérgica tras otra sintiendo que quería gritar, dentro mi corazón estaba gritando fuertemente “¡Soy una VENCEDORA!” Este contraataque del enemigo solamente prueba que estoy verdaderamente ¡YENDO HACIA ADELANTE!

Verdaderamente estamos en una guerra. No me gusta. Me gustaría que no fuera así. Pero a medida que el mundo empeora, ¡yo tengo la oportunidad de brillar más y más con Jesús!

Así que hoy sólo quiero animarte. Si estás sintiendo los efectos de un ataque, ¡REGOCÍJATE! ¡Eso significa que estás en el camino correcto! Estás haciendo lo que Dios te puso a hacer aquí. ¡Estás haciendo una diferencia eterna!

Entonces, busca la ayuda y el apoyo que necesites para superar el ataque. Pero ¡SIGUE AVANZANDO! ¡Recuerda que eres un vencedor! ¡Se te ha dado victoria en Jesús! ¡Eres más que vencedor a través de aquel que nos ama!

Sí, Satanás es un malvado, podrido sucio, pero todavía Jesús es ¡nuestro REY hermoso, poderoso, lleno de gracia, victorioso! ¡Aleluya!
